How We Started
The idea for the Rotary District 9940 Wellington Regional Children's Health Fund Charitable Trust (Known simply as the Rotary 9940 Children's Health Trust) originated through a partnership with the Wellington Hospital Foundation and Rotary District 9940.
Since then our trust been focussed toward our main project: the development and fit out of two whanau rooms at the Wellington Regional Children's Hospital.
Our want to serve others and provide support to the rangatahi of the Lower North Island is what drives each of our members and volunteers to do what they do. If you have a project needing support please do contact us.
Our logo represents what our organisation is all about.
The heart in our logo represents the love, the charity and care from our communities. The kite represents the freedom of youth, and the inalienable right for children to live happy and healthy lives while being a nod to our foundations as an organisation helping the Wellington Regional Children's Hospital. The tail connecting the heart and kite embody the work we help to facilitate through our work.
We are exceptionally lucky and grateful through our connections with the community and Rotary to connect with a range of NFPs, community organisations and businesses to achieve our goals.
However, like most community organisations we are entirely reliant on the work of our volunteers and donations to achieve the work we do.
If you are interested in volunteering we would love for you to contact us, and if you are unable to donate your time we welcome any donations.
